From Argentat to Copeyre: << SENSATIONS >> circuits
You will canoe through woody valleys and will appreciate the architecture of many historical monuments and typical villages.
The numerous fast rivers will give you many sensations.
We recommand you 2 "sensations" circuits :
Argentat- Beaulieu (27 km/ 5h30) or Argentat-Brivezac (18 km/ 3h30)
Get 2 days of activity, pay only one :
For each departure from Argentat, we offer you a free ticket to the QUERCYLAND theme park for the next day.
On your trip, from the canoe on the river sides :
- Beaulieu (medieval villlage), its church (remarkable architecture), the copy of a "Gabares" building place
- the castle of Castelnaud Bretenoux
- many romans bridges
- the castle of Gibanel
- the quays and the flowered bridge of Carennac (we advise you to stop here at Carennac to visit this beautiful medieval village)
- the Castle of Mirandole

From Copeyre to Souillac
The countryside views are changing, you will observe many breakdowns in the relief, you will sail in abrupt and wild gorges formed by great chalk cliffs then granit cliffs, with their nice and changing colors. You will pass right down by many castle and natural caves, in which in particular you will have the opportuninity to go in by canoe !
During 1 day possible trips :
Copeyre/Souillac, Copeyre/Meyronne, Copeyre/Pinsac, Meyronne/Souillac, Meyronne/Pinsac, Pinsac/Souillac.
You can see :
- The Gluges canyon
- the old foot paths dug in the cliff
- the village of Gluges build in the cliff
- Le Vieux chêne (a tree of more than 500 years)
- The Castle of Belcastel
- The cave of Meyraguet (passage by canoë inside possible)
- The Castle of Pinsac
- the roman bridge and the castle of Lanzac
This trip is particuliarly preserved and appreciated of nature nuts. You will cross the way of many wild
species of animal and of the vegetal world (herons, King fishers, rapaces,...).
It is also a very pleasant place to have a swim.
I advice you to stop at Souillac to enjoy the water park of Quercyland (free entrance for you) and to visit the old town center of Souillac (and notice its architecture), its abbaye, its mecanical puppets museum...

From Souillac to Beynac
The cliffs are disapearing to let the scenery of the plains going on : local planted fields, castles and prehistorical villages will appear for your great pleasure

Souillac/St-Julien, Pinsac/St-Julien, Souillac/Vitrac, St-Julien/Vitrac, St-Julien/Beynac.

- Le Roc (a historical rock)
- The Castle of La Tringle
- The typical vilage of Saint Julien
- The sharp river turn of Montfort
- The Ermit's Maze (labyrinth in a corn field to enjoy to get lost and find the way out by answering some questions and puns, free entrance for you)
- The Castle of Montfort
- La Roque Gageac (very well preserved prehistorical site)
- Prehistorical villages dug inside the cliffs (called "troglodytes")
- The Castle of Beynac
