Copeyre Canoë Quercyland

GENERAL INFORMATION

COPEYRE CANOES: YOUR SECURITY IS OUR PRIORITY

The river Dordogne is classed I/II by the Fédération Française de Canoë-Kayak It doesn't present any particular difficulty and is accessible to everyone.
However it is still best to bear in mind and respect certain elementary safety requirements :

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT :

Hat, T-shirt, shorts, water, sun-cream, shoes (not sandals)

On the Adventure Package : bring along warm clothes and covers for nights by the river and your camping kit. We can supply water-proof containers, a tent and foam mattresses if you have none.

Your belongings can be carried from point to point so that you don't need to load up your craft with your tent, gas burner and so-on... Just ask for this service... it's included at no extra charge.

WHERE TO STAY ?

At each stage you'll easily find a camp-site by the river or a hotel nearby (everything from tourist-class to hotel-chateaux). Just choose and make your own reservation.

If you pick the Adventure Package and set out for several days, then you can camp for free on certain of our hire sites. Just ask our advice.

MEALS

On all the trips you'll have no problem finding :
little beaches for a picnic (please bring your own)
or snacks bars
We can provide you with water-tight containers to protect your food from the water but take care about including anything that goes off with the heat (yoghurt for example)

top-offs where there are shops by the river to get supplies (beware of lunch-time closing times, usually from 12 p.m or 12.30 till 2 p.m for small shops, bakers excepted) :
