Classified in first category on all the lower part, there is only the part of Argentat in Beaulieu which offers category II difficulties (Le Battut, Le Malpas)
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM TO CANOE?
Yes, you must be able to swim at least 25 meters in white water and be able to immerse yourself
CAN I TAKE CHILDREN ON THE CANOE?
There is no age restriction but it is compulsory to know how to swim 25 meters in white water and immerse yourself. No baby on board
AND ON THE HIKING, CAN I GO WITH CHILDREN?
With teenagers or children, it's a great experience, but try to rent them a suitable boat, it's not more expensive and everyone will find it fun!

CAN I LEAVE SEVERAL DAYS HIKING WITHOUT RESERVING ACCOMMODATION?
Even in high season the campsites on the banks of the Dordogne still welcome canoes. For hotels, it is best to book in advance. You can also go wild bivouac on the banks of the Dordogne, respecting nature and leaving no trace of your passage.
WHAT OUTFIT SHOULD I WEAR ?
Depending on the weather and the season, you must adapt your dress. However, wear closed shoes (tennis or water shoes) and clothes in which you are comfortable and free to move. Remember to hydrate regularly, do not forget to take water, sunscreen and a cap
WHAT ARE THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS?
Know how to swim 25 meters in white water and immerse yourself.
Wet your neck regularly to prevent the risk of hydrocution.
Plan to hydrate yourself and protect yourself from the sun.
Do not leave your life jacket.
Wear closed shoes, a spectacle cord and leave your personal belongings in your watertight vehicles or cans.
Sail in the middle of the river and bypass the swimming areas and the fishermen.
Respect nature and local residents.
CAN I TAKE A DOG?
Yes, dogs are allowed, under your supervision.
IS THE BUS SHUTTLE FREE?
Yes, bus lifts are included in the price.
We strongly recommend that you take the shuttle bus at the start, then enjoy your canoe trip at your own pace. Please note, for circuits from Souillac to Beynac, you must take the shuttle only on return, since only one bus per day leaves from Beynac. Please consult the Bus timetables in Prices and Info
WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THE EVENT OF AN INCIDENT?
In the event of an incident, get closer to the shore and get out of the water. You can call the fire department directly at 18, the EMS at 15, the emergency police at 17, the European emergency number at 112 or the emergency number for deaf and hard of hearing people at 114.

The Dordogne is navigable from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
IS THERE WATER AND ELECTRICITY ON THE BASES OF CANOES?
No, our bases are not supplied with water, electricity or sanitation

Not only can you go to the Quercyland Aquatic Park in Souillac after your canoe trip the same day, but in addition the entry is free! On presentation of your canoe bill, relax in Quercyland for the rest of the day.

Yes, the cans are waterproof. We are in no way responsible for the improper closure of your cans and its non-sealing
